Keyclasher

TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Keyclasher ("the site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Description of Service

Keyclasher is a browser-based typing game offering a competitive Race Mode (solo, live multiplayer) and a standalone skill-building Practice Mode. Some features require a free account; some features are reserved for premium accounts.

3. Eligibility

Keyclasher is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age required by your local law to consent to online services on your own behalf, you should only use Keyclasher with a parent or guardian's involvement.

4. Accounts

You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up. You may use Keyclasher without an account, but your results won't be saved to the leaderboard or your profile.

5. Acceptable Use

  • Don't use automation, scripts, or bots to inflate your race or practice results.
  • Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or other players' sessions.
  • Don't use display names, avatars, or custom race text that is abusive, harassing, or illegal.
  • Don't attempt to circumvent premium-only features without a premium account.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any display name, avatar image, or custom race text you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a license to display it back to you and, where relevant (like a leaderboard or a shared multiplayer race), to other players, for as long as your account is active.

7. Premium Accounts

Certain Practice Mode features (structured skill tracks, the per-letter accuracy heatmap, and the progress-over-time chart, among others) are reserved for premium accounts. At present, the premium flag on your account is a demonstration feature with no live billing behind it — we state this plainly rather than implying a purchase flow exists. If and when real billing is introduced, these terms will be updated to reflect it.

8. Advertising

Free-tier accounts may see advertising served by Google AdSense at defined points in the site — never during an active race or practice session. Premium accounts do not see ads. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising data.

9. Intellectual Property

The Keyclasher name, design, and codebase (excluding user-submitted content and third-party race texts used under their own public-domain or license terms) belong to us. You may not copy or redistribute the site itself without permission.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

Keyclasher relies on third-party infrastructure (see our Privacy Policy) and may link to third-party sites. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of services we don't operate.

11. Disclaimers

Keyclasher is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — in particular, multiplayer races depend on a direct peer-to-peer connection between players and may be affected by network conditions outside our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Keyclasher.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using Keyclasher, or request account deletion, at any time — see our Contact page.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

[TO BE SPECIFIED BY SITE OWNER — this section should name the jurisdiction whose law governs these terms and where disputes will be handled. We've deliberately left this as a placeholder rather than guessing; fill it in once you've decided (ideally with legal advice), most sites choose the jurisdiction where their business is legally based.]

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
